The all-inclusive resort Sandals just opened a new property in Emerald Bay, Bahamas, which is located in the Exumas archipelago. The new facility includes a 23-acre deepwater marina with 150 slips for yachts as large as 240 feet.

The 141-foot Pax Navi Clear Eyes is one of the sailing yachts that Yachtstore charter broker Gina Robertson is most looking forward to inspecting at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show in early December.

Yachtstore charter broker Gina Robertson was recently a guest onboard the 156-foot motoryacht Vajoliroja, which actor Johnny Depp recently converted into a pirate-themed charter yacht with lots of modern amenities.

“Stepping onboard Vajoliroja is like stepping inside the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies,” Robertson says. “There are red velvet fabrics, a ceiling that looks like hammered tin, mahogany wood throughout the interior, and teak wood outside that positively gleams with 40 coats of varnish. The refit of this yacht was as authentic as possible, and it’s an incredibly fun charter boat to be aboard. I had such a great time that I didn’t want to leave.”

Vajoliroja—whose name is an amalgam of “Johnny,” his girlfriend’s name, and their children’s names—is currently based in the Bahamas. Specifically, the yacht is in the Exumas section of the Bahamas, where Depp owns a private island that is available to Vajoliroja charter clients.
