Rates and Booking
Generally speaking, charter yachts are advertised with weekly base rates. This is the price for the use of the yacht and crew during a seven-day charter.
The full rate of any charter yacht vacation also includes standard expenses. These are personalized for the individual charter, since some people like to eat caviar with Cristal while others prefer Caribbean conch chowder and Kalik. Some clients want to tie up at marinas every night while others would rather anchor in secluded harbors. Motoryachts that cruise at different speeds burn different amounts of fuel, and sailing yachts typically burn less fuel than them all.
Your charter’s standard expenses will depend on the yacht that you choose, as well as on how you decide to use it during your time aboard.
When first comparing charter yacht rates, a good practice is to add one-third for standard expenses. Our specialists at Yachtstore can further refine your expectations during the booking process, when we can help you with details such as a specific yacht’s fuel-burn rate. We will work directly with the yacht’s captain to ensure that the yacht is provisioned in keeping with your requirements, and we are available to review end-of-charter expenses to ensure that everything is as it should be.
